Whole-Brain Living

Brain Integration & Wellness

You are so much more than your aches and pains, health or ill-health. With that in mind, I believe in weaving together all aspects of your life to help you achieve health, which means each piece of the puzzle; the massage, the nutrition, the herbs, and the lifestyle, are all equally important. (However, if you are interested in only one aspect, I am happy to work with you in that way as well.)
My purpose is to restore the health of my patients and improve your lives through alternative treatments. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist as well as an herbal consultant (with almost 2 decades' experience), and as such I often use or recommend other alternative methods to massage, such as yoga, herbal formulas, and/or cleanses for ongoing treatment. My purpose is to heal, but also to teach you a better approach to your own health; I'd like to make you a partner in your own healing.

What I Offer

Massage is generally considered part of complementary and integrative medicine. It's increasingly being offered along with standard treatment for a wide range of medical conditions and situations.

Studies of the benefits of massage demonstrate that it is an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain and muscle tension.

Massage may benefit the following:

  • stress

  • postoperative pain

  • anxiety

  • low-back pain

  • fibromyalgia pain

  • muscle tension

  • exercise performance

  • tension headaches

  • sleep

  • depression

  • cardiovascular health

  • osteoarthritis

  • balance in older adults

  • rheumatoid arthritis

  • dementia

  • blood pressure

  • carpal tunnel syndrome

  • chronic neck pain

  • joint replacement pain

  • range of motion

  • quality of life in hospice care

Despite its benefits, massage isn't meant as a replacement for regular medical care. Let your doctor know you're trying massage and be sure to follow any standard treatment plans you have.

An herbal consultation is an appointment with a person (me) who specializes in the use of herbs and other medicinal plants for the treatment, prevention and management of diseases and other conditions.

Also known as herbalism or herbology, herbal medicine is a field that deals with the use of plants and their many parts, including roots, leaves, flowers and extracts to treat a wide variety of conditions. The herb may be taken alone or in combination with other plants to help them become more potent.

Herbal medicine consultation may be recommended for those people who are interested in natural medicine, which include:

  • Mothers who would like to feel more in confident in the care of their children

  • Individuals who do not believe in conventional medicine

  • Individuals who have exhausted all conventional treatment options and still have not achieved the desired results

During the consultation, I will:

Review your intake form, then ask questions about your goals and what you’d like to accomplish. I may ask about your lifestyle, environment, family medical history, habits, activity and occupation

  • Ask about the signs and symptoms if applicable

  • Ascertain the possible cause of the condition (I do not "diagnose")

  • Recommend (I do not "prescribe") herbal remedies that can best address your concerns

  • Schedule follow-up appointments to monitor the results of the treatment

An herbal consultation may last from 30-40 minutes and may require at least two additional sessions. However, if the condition is chronic or severe, more consultations may be necessary.

Dry (layered) blood cell analysis is a screening tool that involves pricking the tip of your finger and dabbing a single drop of blood onto a microscope slide 5+ times. The blood is then left to dry in the open air for approximately 10-15 minutes, and once dried it is placed under the microscope and analyzed.

A few things that might be observed in the Dry Blood Analysis:

  • Fungus

  • Parasite Presence

  • Demineralization

  • Antioxidant Deficiency

  • Arthritis

  • Viral Infection

  • Metal Toxicity

  • Heart Stress

  • Head/Neck Injury

  • Hemorrhoid

  • Bowel Toxicity

  • Poor Digestion

  • Thyroid Stress

  • Liver Stress

  • Lymphatic Congestion

  • Chronic Fatigue

  • Rep. Organ Imbalance

  • Adrenal Fatigue

You will not have ALL of these things in your blood at the same time, that's just not going to happen. The nice thing is, whatever we DO find, we can make recommendations to help improve.
