From Dr. James' Teachings

Our digestive tract is lined with delicate membranes that come into contact with everything we eat and drink. From the mouth and throat to the stomach and intestines, these tissues must remain healthy if digestion is to function properly.

Unfortunately, today's diet often contains far too many refined carbohydrates and highly processed foods. Over time, poor dietary habits can irritate the digestive tract and interfere with its normal function. While many people reach for antacids to relieve discomfort, it is equally important to ask why the irritation developed in the first place. Supporting the digestive tract through proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices is an important part of long-term digestive health.

Col Cer was formulated to provide nutritional support for the digestive tract. It helps support the delicate membranes of the mouth, throat, stomach, and both the small and large intestines. It has also traditionally been used to soothe cold sores and, when used as a mouth rinse, to support oral tissues, including cases of thrush.

Healing the digestive tract takes time. It is unrealistic to expect one capsule to undo years of irritation. Consistency, along with dietary improvements, gives the body the opportunity to repair and maintain healthy digestive tissues.

In my youth, I was hospitalized with bleeding ulcers. At first, the physicians believed the bleeding was coming from my stomach, but later discovered the ulcer was actually located in my duodenum. After several procedures, one physician honestly admitted that some of the treatment itself may have been contributing to the bleeding.

Following my hospitalization, I continued taking the medication that had been prescribed. One day, while filling the prescription, the pharmacist asked if I was the one taking it. When he explained what the medication was, I realized it was responsible for many of the things I disliked about how I felt. I had gone to the hospital hoping to recover from an illness, yet now I found myself trying to recover from the treatment as well.

That experience changed the way I thought about health. I began making significant changes to my diet and lifestyle. As the years passed, whenever digestive discomfort returned, this was the formula I relied upon. Today, I am no longer plagued by ulcers.

Col Cer has enriched the lives of many people by supporting healthy digestive function. It has traditionally been used by those seeking nutritional support for concerns involving the digestive tract, including colitis, diverticulosis, spastic colon, hemorrhoids, and other digestive complaints.

From My Own Practice

Col Cer is one of the foundational formulas I use in my practice because so much of our health begins with the digestive tract. Rather than simply trying to quiet symptoms, my goal is to support the health of the digestive tract itself. It is a foundational formula that provides nutritional support from the entrance of the food to the exit of the food... and everything in between. Every bite of food, every drink, every supplement, and every nutrient passes through these tissues. It simply makes sense to nourish the entire digestive tract so it can function the way it was designed.

Whether someone comes to me with acid reflux, indigestion, a hiatal hernia, or other digestive concerns, my goal is to support healthy digestive tissues. Through dry blood analysis, I also pay close attention to patterns that I associate with bowel toxicity and digestive tract stress. When I observe those patterns, Col Cer is one of the formulas I commonly recommend as part of the overall program.

When someone has a hiatal hernia, I often recommend Col Cer before beginning abdominal massage. In my experience, supporting the digestive tissues first often allows them to become healthier, more relaxed, and more responsive during bodywork. I have occasionally observed the stomach return to a more natural position during an abdominal massage after the client had consistently used Col Cer. While every person is different, experiences like these have reinforced my belief that healthy tissues simply function better.

Another reason I value this formula is its traditional support for healthy intestinal flora. Rather than focusing on adding beneficial bacteria, I like to support a digestive environment where beneficial bacteria can naturally thrive. In my experience, a healthy digestive tract is a far more welcoming environment for healthy flora than one that is irritated or unhealthy.

One of the guiding principles of my practice is to ask why the body is struggling instead of simply trying to suppress symptoms. Supporting the digestive tract, improving nutrition, and addressing the underlying causes whenever possible provides a stronger foundation for long-term wellness.

Dosage Guide

The directions on the bottle provide a general recommendation. In my own practice, I view those amounts as a starting point, not a limit. During times of greater discomfort, I adjust the amount and frequency according to the level of support the body seems to need.

A personal note for my clients: If we've worked together recently, please follow the recommendations I gave you during your consultation. They were personalized to your individual health needs, goals, and circumstances and may differ from the general dosage suggestions provided here or on the bottle.
