From Dr. James' Teachings

Hrt is one of the many circulatory formulas that I have developed, but this formula is specific for heart function, to tone and strengthen the heart muscle. The heart is a demanding organ. If it is not properly nourished and supplied with the nutrients it needs, its function can suffer. Hrt is designed to nutritionally support the heart muscle and its circulation, helping it better withstand the demands placed upon it. This formula has traditionally been used for many heart-related conditions, ranging from angina to congestive heart problems.

A man came to the clinic one day with an extremely critical attitude toward his doctor. After listening to him for nearly twenty minutes, I realized that his real complaint was that his doctor had told him the pain he had been experiencing was angina and that it was not life threatening, so he should quit worrying about it. Frustrated and still in pain, he decided to seek the advice of an herbalist after months of encouragement from his family.

After our initial interview, I realized he genuinely wanted my help. On the surface he appeared critical, but underneath the frustration was someone willing to do what I asked him to do.

I explained that I had no magical answers, but the first thing we needed to change was his diet. I explained that the heart muscle prefers to burn fat instead of glucose, yet he was feeding it primarily glucose. He would need to eliminate refined carbohydrates, sugar, soda, coffee, and caffeine from his diet. If he used a sweetener, I recommended honey.

In addition, I recommended three 8-ounce glasses of Tea Honey each day. Honey allows the body to pull ketones (fats) into the bloodstream so the heart can begin burning fats instead of glucose. When he asked what the limit on honey was, I told him he probably didn't need to worry because his body's natural gag reflex would let him know. I also put him on Hrt to help tone and strengthen the heart muscle.

Angina pain is not life threatening, but it is often the result of a threatening diet and lifestyle. Many people believe they have a family history of heart problems. That may be true to the extent that they have inherited their family's diet and lifestyle. If those two factors can be changed, many coronary weaknesses may be avoided.

In more severe heart conditions, these dietary suggestions may also be beneficial when coupled with this herbal formula.

Do not take any herbal formula at the same time as chemical medications. Many times, herbs will negate the time-release factor of chemicals. Rather, chemicals and herbs should be taken separately, allowing a minimum of one hour between them.

From My Own Practice

Anytime someone mentions a difficulty with their heart, I am going to recommend Hrt. It doesn't have to be a diagnosed heart condition. If someone tells me they experience flutters, pounding, occasional breathlessness, or other symptoms that suggest the heart could use additional nutritional support, Hrt is almost always my starting point.

The truth is, nothing has to be wrong for me to recommend this formula. Your heart is a muscle that has worked for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of your life without taking a single break. Why not give it the nutritional support it deserves? To me, that just makes sense.

The same is true when I perform a Dry Blood Analysis. Whenever I see signs of heart stress, whether they appear mild or more significant, Hrt becomes part of my recommendations. Over the years, I have been consistently impressed by the difference this formula has made for my clients.

Although Hrt was developed specifically to nutritionally support the heart muscle, I have also found it to be an important part of supporting healthy circulation throughout the body. Whenever I suspect circulation or occlusions may be part of the overall picture, Hrt is frequently included as part of my recommendations.

The directions on the bottle provide a general recommendation. In my own practice, I view those amounts as a starting point, not a limit. During times of greater discomfort, I adjust the amount and frequency according to the level of support the body seems to need.

A personal note for my clients: If we've worked together recently, please follow the recommendations I gave you during your consultation. They were personalized to your individual health needs, goals, and circumstances and may differ from the general dosage suggestions provided here or on the bottle.
