From My Own Practice

Most people have heard of Vitamin C. In fact, it's usually one of the first things people reach for when they start feeling run down or during cold and flu season. While Vitamin C is certainly well known for supporting a healthy immune system, that's only a small part of the picture.

Vitamin C is needed throughout the entire body. It helps support healthy connective tissue, collagen production, healthy skin, gums, blood vessels, wound healing, and many normal metabolic functions. It also acts as an antioxidant, helping protect cells from the normal wear and tear of everyday life.

What makes C-Complex different is that it isn't just isolated Vitamin C in a capsule. It's a whole food formula.

That distinction is important. Nature doesn't package nutrients one at a time. When you eat an orange, you don't just get Vitamin C. You also receive the bioflavonoids, minerals, antioxidants, and countless other naturally occurring plant compounds that accompany it. They were designed to work together.

I believe nutrition makes the most sense when we stay as close to nature as possible. Whenever I have the choice, I would rather recommend nutrients in the form they naturally occur than as a single isolated vitamin. Whole food formulas provide far more than one vitamin alone because they deliver nutrients in the context in which nature created them.

That's one of the reasons I continue to recommend C-Complex. It simply makes sense to me. If I can provide nutritional support in a form that more closely resembles the foods our bodies were designed to eat, that's the direction I'm going to lean.

Of course, no supplement can replace eating plenty of fruits and vegetables. A healthy diet will always be the foundation. Whole food supplements simply help complement those healthy choices and provide additional nutritional support.

Dosage Guide

The directions on the bottle provide a general recommendation. In my own practice, I view those amounts as a starting point, not a limit. During times of greater discomfort, I adjust the amount and frequency according to the level of support the body seems to need.

A personal note for my clients: If we've worked together recently, please follow the recommendations I gave you during your consultation. They were personalized to your individual health needs, goals, and circumstances and may differ from the general dosage suggestions provided here or on the bottle.
