From Dr. James' Teachings
Fection is a probiotic (pro = for and biotic = life). It is used when you would consider using an antibiotic (anti = against and biotic = life).
Let me describe what an antibiotic is. Visualize a mercenary: a guy who goes into a place and just kills things. An antibiotic does something similar. It goes into the body and kills bacteria. It is an antibacterial.
Fection is not like that. When Fection is introduced into the system as food, it pays attention. If it encounters bacteria that are destructive, it destroys them. If it finds bacteria that help digest food or support proper digestive function, Fection leaves them alone and, in some cases, even supports them.
Candida is a naturally occurring yeast in the digestive system. Along with digestive flora (acidophilus), it helps in the proper digestion of food. When people take antibiotics, they destroy the friendly flora, increasing the percentage of yeast in the digestive tract. When this happens, you can develop a Candida overgrowth, which is often called a yeast infection.
Over the years, I have worked with numerous schoolteachers. Teachers are exposed to illnesses as much as, or even more than, doctors. At least a doctor can escape from time to time. Teachers are a captive audience for all the little runny noses, coughs, and sneezes, with no escape at all. Having a teacher use Fection can be very helpful in strengthening the immune system without adversely affecting the digestive tract or contributing to yeast overgrowth.

From My Own Practice
The name Fection was inspired by the word infection. When people begin feeling like they are coming down with something, many immediately think they need an antibiotic. Fection was formulated with a different philosophy. Rather than simply trying to eliminate everything in its path, the goal is to help support the body's natural ability to maintain a healthy balance while encouraging a healthy immune response.
If I am dealing with allergies, I will usually take one or two Fection capsules along with whatever other formulas fit the situation, such as Hay Asz. Rather than taking it only once a day, I am more likely to take it several times throughout the day as needed.
I commonly recommend Fection during times of colds, flu, hay fever, asthma, seasonal allergies, and other situations where the immune system could use additional support. It has become one of my foundational formulas whenever someone tells me they feel like they are coming down with something.
I also frequently include Fection as part of a comprehensive parasite program. That topic deserves a more complete discussion, so I'll cover it in a separate article. For now, just know that it is one of the formulas I commonly consider when supporting clients in that situation.

Dosage Guide
The directions on the bottle provide a general recommendation. In my own practice, I view those amounts as a starting point, not a limit. During times of greater discomfort, I adjust the amount and frequency according to the level of support the body seems to need.
A personal note for my clients: If we've worked together recently, please follow the recommendations I gave you during your consultation. They were personalized to your individual health needs, goals, and circumstances and may differ from the general dosage suggestions provided here or on the bottle.
Support Needed
Maintenance
Mild
Moderate
Intensive
Common Amount
1 to 2 capsules daily
2 capsules twice daily
3 capsules three times daily
4 capsules three times daily
Don't be afraid to take enough to notice a difference. Some people do well with just a few capsules, while others need considerably more. In my practice, it's not unusual for someone with significant needs to use up to 30 capsules over the course of a day, then gradually reduce the amount as they begin feeling better.
