Brain Integration

Crossinology® Brain Integration Technique (BIT) can be helpful for a wide range of challenges related to how the brain and body are communicating. This work focuses on identifying areas where signals may be misfiring or not coordinating properly, and supporting the body in restoring more efficient function.

A Closer Look

Brain Integration supports the body in reorganizing how signals are processed and expressed. This often shows up in areas like:

  • Chronic aches and pains that don’t fully resolve

  • Recovery from injury or ongoing physical strain

  • Coordination, balance, or movement challenges

  • Emotional stress, reactivity, or difficulty with regulating

  • Nervous system overload or feeling “stuck”

  • Hormonal imbalances and related stress patterns

  • Difficulty focusing, attention, or mental clarity

  • Learning challenges, including reading, writing, or retention

Each appointment is individualized and guided in real time based on what your body presents.

What To Expect

This will give you a clearer sense of how appointments work and what to expect when you come in.

What should I expect? Most of the appointment is spent relaxing on the treatment table while we observe how the nervous system responds throughout the process. Depending on the techniques being used, I may guide eye movements, use light touch, check reflexes or muscle responses, or have you perform simple movements. Wear comfortable clothing so you can relax easily during the appointment.

Do I need to prepare for my appointment? Yes. Please come well hydrated and bring a water bottle with you if possible. Hydration can make a noticeable difference in how the body and nervous system respond during the appointment. No other special preparation is needed. If you forget water, that’s okay. Water is available in the office.

Will I need to actively participate during the appointment? Sometimes, but only in simple ways. Certain techniques may involve observation, awareness, light movement, or brief feedback, while others require very little participation at all. There is no pressure to “do it right” or perform during the process, and it is not possible to do it wrong.

What does the practitioner actually do during the appointment? Brain integration uses a variety of techniques that include the Chinese meridian system, kinesiology, and mudras. The Chinese meridian system works with pathways throughout the body that are traditionally associated with energy flow and balance. Kinesiology uses muscle responses and body feedback to help identify areas of stress and neurological imbalance. Mudras are specific hand positions used to support communication and organization within the nervous system. During the appointment, this can include muscle checking, eye movements, light touch, pulse points, hand positions, and simple guided movements.

Will I need to understand everything that’s happening? No. I will guide you through the process as we go and explain things in a way that is simple and approachable. Brain integration often involves different parts of the brain and nervous system working together, and there may be times when you do not fully understand why a particular technique is being used. That is completely okay. You do not need prior knowledge or understanding in order to benefit from brain integration.

When will I notice differences? That depends on both the person and the type of work being done. Some changes can be noticed immediately, especially when working with physical muscle activation or neurological balancing. Other changes may take place more gradually over several appointments. When working with learning disabilities, dyslexia, or similar challenges, improvements are often noticed as activities that once felt difficult begin to feel easier and more natural over time. In many cases, progress becomes noticeable through everyday use and repetition. If a skill is never used again after the appointment, the changes may be harder to recognize.

Is there anything I can do to support better results? Yes. Bowel habits, dietary habits, and hydration can all influence how well the body and nervous system respond to brain integration. Many people notice better integration and clearer progress as they improve digestion, support regular bowel function, reduce refined sugars and highly processed foods, and stay properly hydrated. That does not mean someone cannot benefit from brain integration while eating a standard American diet. It simply means that healthier habits often support stronger and more noticeable results over time.

Is brain integration the same thing as counseling or talk therapy? No. While conversation may be part of the appointment, brain integration is focused on how the brain and nervous system are functioning and communicating. The appointment is centered around neurological and physiological responses rather than traditional talk therapy or emotional counseling. Some people talk quite a bit during appointments, while others prefer very little conversation at all.

Real Experiences

People often notice meaningful shifts, sometimes subtle, sometimes significant. Here are a few experiences shared by clients.

Michael T., CO

I’ve struggled with depression for a really long time and honestly didn’t think this was going to do much. I’d already tried a lot of different things over the years. But after a few appointments, I started noticing little changes. I felt calmer. More steady. Things didn’t feel quite so heavy all the time. I’m not saying life suddenly became perfect, but I do feel more like myself again. I honestly wasn’t expecting that, even though I’d been praying for it my whole life.

James L., NM

I’ve dealt with chronic pain for so long that I kind of stopped expecting things to really change. I’d done medications, different treatments, all of it.

After a handful of appointments, my wife started pointing out things before I even noticed them myself. I wasn’t talking about my pain constantly. I was moving better. I wasn’t needing my meds as much.

The moment that really got me was during a long drive we took. Usually we have to stop a bunch so I can get out and stretch because my body starts hurting so bad. This time we basically drove straight through except for gas. I remember thinking, ‘Wait… when did that happen?’ That was a huge moment for me.

Lisa L., OK

We started bringing our daughter in because certain things just seemed harder for her than they should’ve been. Sometimes it was coordination, sometimes focus, sometimes how she responded to things around her. We were simply hoping to help things work together better for her.

As time went on, we started noticing little changes that added up in a big way. She seemed more coordinated, more comfortable in her body, and we even noticed improvements in her vision. It was one of those things where you suddenly realize, ‘Wait… she’s not struggling with that like she used to.’
